Job duties

 

• Operate several different types of machinery mainly telehandler, 360 excavator up to 10 tonnes

​​

• Perform routine maintenance and the ability to identify problems before they escalate with machinery used.

​​

• Construct, dismantle Spanish Tunnels for soft fruit production 

​​

• Manual work with involvement in fixing, dismantling, constructing with galvanised steel structures for soft fruit production, unloading and loading trailers with soft fruit

​​

• Potential to assist in transporting combinable crops with tractors and trailers

​​

• Cultivation and harvesting of fields e.g., ploughing, harrowing and drilling, baling

​​

• Loading vehicles lifting bags and with the use of machinery

​​

• Spray applications inclusive of pesticides, herbicides etc

​​

• Biological control applications.

Job skills and qualifications:

​

Required:

​

• B class Driving licence essential (Tractor licence, Forklift Licence, Telehandler Licence preferred but not necessary)

​

• Experienced in spray operative work with qualifications preferred but not necessary

​

• Clean driving licence with no endorsements

​

• Practical

​

• Excellent physical stamina

​

• Ability to lift up to 40kg bag

​

• Safety aware with good observation skills

​

• Excellent team player

​

• Good timekeeper

​​

• Preferred but not essential minimum12 months experience with excavators and telehandlers but not necessary.
